Oh, I absolutely love Christmas! This book, a cup of pumpkin coffee and a warm fire make a great recipe for ideas to make new and remember old traditions. A real treasure.

My husband bought this for me about 2 months ago and I have about 20 recipes marked to try just for christmas! There are so many wonderful ideas and recipes, right for an avid baker and cook and for beginners. Just what I have come to expect from Gooseberry!

I ordered several of your cookbooks recently and have marked off many pages of interesting recipes. I decided to try the pistachio bread first. I work in a small office and am the only one that bakes. The recipe was easy to make and turned out great. My "success" barometer is based on how long it lasts in the office. Well, I set the plate of pistachio bread on top of a cabinet without telling anyone and 10 minutes later - 10 MINUTES! - the whole loaf was gone.My coworkers are encouraging me to try some more of the recipes - real soon! Thanks for the great books filled with easy to follow recipes, hints and stories. I am sure I will be purchasing more of your cookbooks in the future.

When I made this soup on a chilly night , I got rave reviews from the family. They said it was one of the best soups they ever had. It just goes to show how the simplest ingredients are sometimes the "timeless" best.
